Suits & Sneakers Awareness Weekend Set

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Coming up this Friday through Sunday (Jan. 27-29) is the annual Coaches vs. Cancer® Suits and Sneakers awareness weekend, a collaborative initiative of the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Participating NABC member coaches will wear sneakers instead of dress shoes with their suits during weekend games to demonstrate their support for the American Cancer Society and its vision of a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

Coaches vs. Cancer information

To promote the growth, enhancement and the highest possible standards of interscholastic basketball in North Carolina.

To help maintain the highest possible standards of the basketball coaching profession and to work together for the improvement of interscholastic basketball in North Carolina.

To honor and recognize players and coaches for their achievements and accomplishments in North Carolina Basketball.

To support the overall objectives of the North Carolina Coaches Association by fostering a high-standard of ethics and sportsmanship both among coaches and participants and through the encouragement of closer cooperation and better understanding among coaches, school administrators, the public, the press and game officials.
