The North Carolina Basketball Coaches Association seeks to promote professionalism and leadership among our members, while honoring and promoting the great game of basketball in our state.
The NCBCA is a service, advocacy and professional development organization. The purposes of the NCBCA are:
To promote the growth, enhancement and the highest possible standards of interscholastic basketball in North Carolina.
To help maintain the highest possible standards of the basketball coaching profession and to work together for the improvement of interscholastic basketball in North Carolina.
To honor and recognize players and coaches for their achievements and accomplishments in North Carolina basketball.
To support the overall objectives of the North Carolina Coaches Association.
Involvement in providing a consistent, strong voice for North Carolina basketball coaches with the NCHSAA.
Opportunities for community service and ideas for providing leadership and mentoring.
Ability to nominate of deserving players for All-District and All-State honors.
Eligible for District and State Coach of the Year Awards, as well as other honors.
Eligible to vote in selecting Boys and Girls All- District and All-State Teams.
Eligible to vote in selecting Coach of the Year Awards.
Eligible to nominate your child (HS senior) for NCBCA $1000 scholarship.
Access to coaching resources and mentoring tools for Basketball Coaches.
Access to Members Only section of the website, which contains the Play of the Day, nomination forms, tournaments seeking teams and other Coaching Resources.
Free membership in the National High School Basketball Coaches Association (NHSBCA), which includes discounted rates on coaching resources like ‘Winning Hoops’, ‘Wooden’s Wisdom’, Better Basketball, along with discounted membership into the NABC and WBCA.
